To provide high quality education in 3D animation and visual effects, the state-owned West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Ltd (WEBEL) today tied up with Reliance Animation to set up a WEBEL-Reliance Media and Entertainment Academy here.
After signing of an MoU here in this regard between the WEBEL and Reliance Animation, West Bengal IT Minister Debesh Das said that Reliance Animation would provide the curriculum and handle the operational responsibilities as well, while WEBEL would provide the necessary infrastructure for the Academy.
The courses offered would be advanced animation film making, 3D process, advanced 3D animation specialisation, advanced visual effects in film making, advanced digital 2D, pre-production, Maya Master and post-production techniques, Das said.
With rich tradition of creative talents in India, the state was sure to produce the finest talents and maestros in every field of creative expression, the minister said.
"This initiative is going to provide the aspiring youths of West Bengal an opportunity to harness their skills into the booming industry of digital arts", he added.
