LOS ANGELES: A pregnant woman aboard a Southwest Airlines flight went into labor and gave birth to a boy during a cross-country trip on Friday, and the plane was diverted to an airport in Denver, an airline spokesman said.
The woman went into labor about 100 miles north of the Colorado capital on Southwest Flight 441, en route from Salt Lake City to Chicago, spokesman Chris Mainz said.
She delivered the baby in the aft galley of the aircraft, with the assistance of doctors who happened to be aboard, Mainz said.
